Vera Wang Fall plus size wedding gowns
1. November 2010Only a designer like Vera Wang can think of including gray ballgowns embellished with plus size wedding gowns and silver on a bridal collection, and only Vera can pull it off and turn them into a real masterpiece. Vera Wang’s gowns are always romantic and editorial-worthy, and her fall 2011 collection is no exception. I can see these gowns against the backdrop of a lush green forest; the gray one probably on strapless wedding dresses by the Atlantic ocean, with looming storm clouds overhead. According to Vera Wang, this collection is a “study in volumes and draping”, which she proves by using horsehair create volume, loops, and swirls (with a dash of shimmer). I love the fact that she didn’t redo the Chelsea Clinton look, which was all over the bridal market shortly after her wedding. Instead, she focused on creating sculptural fabric treatments on the skirts, which remind me of clouds and fans. The fall collection is fairly small, with no more than 12 Cheap Wedding Gowns, but each is more breathtaking than the last.
